What is Sustainability Arc?
Sustainability Arc is a Florida-based nonprofit dedicated to creating regenerative systems of living through environmental advocacy, legal reform, and innovative public education. Founded by Charlotte Bertha, our mission is to restore harmony between humanity, the planet, and the accelerating force of technology through what we call the Arc Pillars of Sustainability.
This paradigm is centered around a vision of conscious, systemic transformation — one that honors both the seen and unseen forces shaping our world. At the heart of our mission lies a living structure: a three-tiered framework that organizes our efforts across all dimensions of justice, harmony, and regeneration.
Humans
Justice, Freedom, Health, and Sovereignty
We advocate for systems that respect human dignity, protect bodily autonomy, ensure mental and physical well-being, and preserve individual freedoms. This includes safeguarding mental health, advocating for informed consent in medicine, protecting marginalized communities, and promoting access to holistic, community-centered care. True sustainability begins with empowered, conscious, and self-determined people who are rooted in their values and free from institutional coercion.
Planet
Regeneration, Preservation, and Protection
We work to restore ecosystems, uphold environmental laws, and stop the degradation of the Earth’s natural systems. This includes defending pollinators, shorelines, soil, air, water, and biodiversity through science-informed activism. We support native plant restoration, green infrastructure, clean energy transitions, and land stewardship models that return decision-making to local and Indigenous communities. Our approach blends environmental science with spiritual ecology – recognizing Earth as a living, sacred system in need of healing and reciprocity.
Technology
Ethical Innovation, Access, and Balance
We believe technology must serve life — not control it. We promote open access, responsible development, and equitable use of emerging tech. AI, energy systems, and digital infrastructure must align with planetary and human well-being. This includes EMF mitigation, protection of biological life from untested wireless infrastructure, and enforcement of ethical boundaries in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and surveillance. We envision a future where innovation enhances human freedom, supports ecological regeneration, and is governed by conscious design — not unchecked profit.
